The Pope Doesn't Know When To Stop Digging.

Catholics need a Pope who tends to the things of God and keeps out of politics.

This is the man that the Pope just called an "Angel of Peace."

Abbas is no better than a terrorist. He uses the Palestinian Authority to maintain an infrastructure that supports murder and mayhem. More on that here from the publications that the PA issues.

Justice Is Served

As it is said, the wheels of Justice grind exceedingly slow but exceedingly fine.
But Justice cannot put the wheels back on the bus. It cannot bring back the dead, nor restore missing limbs nor shattered lives. And as one process is over, another one begins. Mr. Tsarnaev will live for quite some time before the executioner earns a day's wages. And he actually will probably outlive most of us as Massachusetts has not imposed capital punishment on anyone in almost 70 years.
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — A jury sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death Friday for the Boston Marathon bombing, sweeping aside pleas that he was just a “kid” who fell under the influence of his fanatical older brother.
Tsarnaev, 21, stood with his hands folded, his head slightly bowed, upon learning his fate, decided after 14 hours of deliberations over three days. It was the most closely watched terrorism trial in the U.S. since the Oklahoma City bombing case two decades ago.

WBZ-TV reporter Jim Armstrong was in the courtroom, sitting just behind Tsarnaev when the verdict was read. “From what I could see behind him, he just stared straight forward,” Armstrong said. “Our producer in overflow said he could see Tsarnaev’s face and it registered, from what he could tell, absolutely no emotion at all.”
Story here and here.

FTR -The last executions to take place in Massachusetts were on May 9, 1947. Phillip Bellino and Edward Gertson were executed for the murder of Robert William, a former Marine. Both defendants were electrocuted at Charlestown State Prison.

North Korea Makes A Splash

... out of it's Defense Minister.

The North Korean homicidal boy-President-for Life has a new toy - the ZPU-4.
A top North Korean defense minister was publicly executed by a firing squad using anti-aircraft guns before a crowd of hundreds, according to reports citing South Korean intelligence sources.

The news comes weeks after North Korea executed a group of 15 senior officials, in the latest sign that leader Kim Jong-un is cracking down on his internal ranks.

The brutal execution of Hyon Yong-chol — the head of the North Korea’s People’s Armed Forces and the No. 2 military official — came after he was seen falling asleep at a military event where Kim was speaking and refused to carry out Kim’s instructions, a senior intelligence official told the South Korean Yonhap news agency.

The execution occurred on April 30 but was not revealed to South Korean members of parliament until Wednesday, Yonhap added.
Story here.

Satellite imagery seems to support the notion that North Korea is using soft, pink target material in training exercises involving large caliber munitions.
Sometime on or about October 7th, 2014, some very unusual activity was noted on satellite imagery of the Kanggon small arms firing range. Instead of troops occupying the firing positions on the range there was a battery of six ZPU-4 anti-aircraft guns lined up between the firing positions and the range control/viewing gallery. The ZPU-4 is an anti-aircraft gun system consisting of four 14.5mm heavy machine guns (similar to a U.S. .50 caliber heavy machine gun) mounted on a towed wheeled chassis. It is neither safe nor practical to use such weapons on a small arms range, as the combined weight of fire from the six ZPU-4 (a total of 24 heavy machine guns) would quickly destroy the downrange backstop and necessitate reconstruction. A few meters behind the ZPU-4s there appears to be either a line of troops or equipment, while farther back are five trucks (of various sizes), one large trailer, and one bus. This suggests that senior officers or VIPs may have come to observe whatever activity was taking place. Most unusual in the image, perhaps, is what appears to be some sort of targets located only 30 meters downrange of the ZPU-4s.
The ZPU-4 has an effective range of 5 miles and can shoot over 3 miles straight up. But these "training" targets are located only 100 feet down range.

Getting Fitted For A Burqa?

If you really need any more proof that Islam attracts the insane, the immature, the screwed up nutjobs, take a look at this:
Lindsay Lohan was photographed carrying a copy of the Quran after her first day of community service in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday.

The actress - who is of Irish and Italian heritage and was raised as a Catholic - held a hard copy of the Muslim holy book in her arm as she finished a day of office work at a children's center. She reportedly arrived two hours late.

It comes as the 28-year-old embarks on an 'emotional detox', giving up alcohol and dating.
That's not all this bint will be giving up if she takes the Sharia plunge.

Doesn't matter if she's wearing a bikini or a burqa, she's still one messed up woman.

Oil Price War

From today's Financial Times:
Saudi Arabia says its strategy of squeezing high-cost rivals such as US shale producers is succeeding, as the world’s largest crude exporter seeks to reassert itself as the dominant force in the global oil market.

The kingdom’s production rose to a record high of 10.3m barrels a day in April and there is no sign that it plans to reverse its policy at next month’s meeting of Opec, the producers’ cartel, in Vienna.

“There is no doubt about it, the price fall of the last several months has deterred investors away from expensive oil including US shale, deep offshore and heavy oils,” a Saudi official told the Financial Times in Riyadh, giving a rare insight into t
Maybe I'm stupid, but if the Saudi forced cuts in higher priced oil production, then why has the price of gas increased by over 60 cents per gallon in the past few months???

25 Or 6 To 4

Wikipedia:
"Speculation that the song's lyrics are drug related has been largely dismissed. Lamm himself says that the title is "just a reference to the time of day" and that "the song is about writing a song. It's not mystical." The time of day in reference is 3:35 AM (or 3:34 AM), which would then be 25 (or 26) minutes to 4 AM."

Microsoft Planning Release of Windows 10
Windows 10 will be the last major Windows release, with all subsequent updates issued as regular instalments, Microsoft has confirmed.

Developer Jerry Nixon told a crowd at Microsoft's Ignite conference that "Right now we’re releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we’re all still working on Windows 10”.

The company confirmed Mr Nixon's comments in a statement issued to the Verge, emphasising there would continue to be a "long future of Windows innovations".

"Recent comments at Ignite about Windows 10 are reflective of the way Windows will be delivered as a service bringing new innovations and updates in an ongoing manner, with continuous value for our consumer and business customers," a spokesperson said.
I can never figure out if Microsoft products are released, paroled or do they escape all on their own.

Looking For Nemo Nema
It's well known that omega-3 fatty acids found in oily fish are good for our health.

But levels of these fatty acids are relatively low in some of our favourite foods, such as beef.

Now researchers have managed to rear beef rich in fatty acids associated with fish oils by introducing a gene - isolated from a nematode worm - into cattle foetal cells.

The study, published in Biotechnology Letters, documents the ‘transgenic’ procedure, and also highlights the difficulty in carrying out transgenic alterations.

‘We have provided the first evidence that it is possible to create a new breed of cattle with higher nutritional value in terms of their fatty acid composition,’ said author Linsen Zan from the College of Animal Science and Technology at Northwest A&F University and the National Beef Cattle Improvement Centre, both in Yangling.
For those who are interested, most nematodes are parasites and they can crap out of both ends. I don't know if the Black Angus will eventually be able to do the same thing.

This is a nematode worm. That round dot on the end is it's mouth/butthole/nose/bellybutton. Or maybe it's the slit... ya got me. Now put horns on it.

Picasso's World Famous "Painting My Sister With Vodka" Sells for $148 Million
Eleven minutes of prolonged bidding from telephone buyers preceded the final sale - for much more than its pre-sale estimate of $140m.

The previous world record for a painting sold at auction was $142.4m, for British painter Francis Bacon's Three Studies of Lucian Freud.

That sold at Christie's in 2013.

The oil painting is a vibrant depiction of nude and semi-nude women, and is part of a 15-work series Picasso created in 1954-55 designated with the letters A through O.

The final price of $179,365,000 includes Christie's commission of just over 12%.
This was a sad day in our household. I stayed with it for the first ten minutes, but eventually I was out bid.

Liberals Ruined The Sauce

The Mayor of NYC is Italian; he should know better than this.

When the spaghetti sauce is good, don't mess with the recipe.

Leave. It. Alone.

NYC had a good thing going with its anti-crime sauce that another Italian Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, whipped up in the NYPD kitchen. The gangbangers and violent criminals didn't like it but the good citizens of the Big Apple enjoyed it's savory flavor for several decades.

Mayor de Blasio and his merry band of insane liberals had to go and screw it up. That's what happens when amateurs get in the kitchen.

Nice going idiots, you ruined it up for everyone. You're bound and determined to turn every American city into Detroit.
MASSIVE UPTICK IN NYC SHOOTINGS

In just the past week, shootings increased 66 percent, with 40 occurring between last Monday and this past Sunday, the sources said. By comparison, there were 24 shootings during the same week in 2014.

The number of shooting victims also rose 76 percent during that time period, with 44 people injured by gunfire compared to 25 for the same period last year.

Shootings are up for the month as well, jumping 33 percent, to 128 incidents, in the past 28 days, sources said. Last year, there were 96 shootings for the same period.

More victims took bullets, too. In the past 28 days, there were 106 shooting victims compared to the 85 at this time last year — a jump of 25 percent.

Story's here in the NY Post.

The Choice is Clear And Simple

You may have clearly defined and well enforced laws to protect the public, or you may have feel-good, emotionally reactive political correctness.

But if you want pubic safety, you can't have both as the Baltimore Sun points out.

Violence surges as Baltimore police officers feel hesitant

The number of shootings and homicides has surged in Baltimore, some police officers say they feel hesitant on the job under intense public scrutiny and in the wake of criminal charges against six officers in the Freddie Gray case.

State's Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby's decision last week to charge the officers has stoked strong opinions across the country — including praise from those who want accountability and derision from some legal experts.

But perhaps the most jarring effect has been on the Baltimore Police Department.

"In 29 years, I've gone through some bad times, but I've never seen it this bad," said Lt. Kenneth Butler, president of the Vanguard Justice Society, a group for black Baltimore police officers. Officers "feel as though the state's attorney will hang them out to dry."

Several officers said in interviews they are concerned crime could spike as officers are hesitant to do their jobs, and criminals sense opportunity. Butler, a shift commander in the Southern District, said his officers are expressing reluctance to go after crime.
